* Moped – a two-wheeled motor vehicle with a maximum design speed not less than 25 km/h and not more than 45 km/h, and an engine displacement not exceeding 50 cm3 (in case of an internal combustion engine), or a maximum continuous power not exceeding 4 kW (in case of an electric motor), or a three-wheeled motor vehicle with a maximum design speed not less than 25 km/h and not more than 45 km/h, and an engine displacement not exceeding 50 cm3 (in case of a spark-ignition (forced ignition) engine), a maximum continuous power not exceeding 4 kW (in case of another type of internal combustion engine), or a maximum continuous power not exceeding 4 kW (in case of an electric motor).
** Light quadricycle – a four-wheeled motor vehicle whose mass (excluding batteries if it is an electric motor vehicle) without load does not exceed 350 kg, with a maximum design speed not exceeding 45 km/h, and an engine displacement not exceeding 50 cm3 (in case of a spark-ignition (forced ignition) engine), a maximum continuous power not exceeding 4 kW (in case of another type of internal combustion engine), or a maximum nominal power not exceeding 4 kW (in case of an electric motor).
The minimum age at which it is currently allowed to obtain the right to drive is 15 years, but did you know that from April 1 of this year, age changes may await those wishing to obtain the AM category?
From April 1, 2025, the right to drive AM category vehicles will be granted only to persons from 16 years old.
